Membership Application

Please read the following eligibilty criteria for the different Membership categories below before applying. 

Trainee Membership

BAAPS Trainee membership is open to any plastic surgery trainee years 5– 8.  To apply you will need your National Training Number (NTN), name of your current unit, the full name of your current Programme Director and contact email address for your Programme Director. If you are eligible, please complete the trainee application below. 

 

 

Provisional Membership

If you have received your CCT and no longer hold a National Trainee Number (NTN) you may be eligible to apply for BAAPS Provisional Membership. To apply you will need to have a copy of Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCT), a copy of your CV and a logbook of aesthetic procedures carried out in the last two years. You will also require a proposer, seconder and mentor who are all  full members of  BAAPS working in different units

 

Full UK Membership

To be a BAAPS Full UK Member you will be required to hold or have held a post within the NHS or have been a BAAPS Provisional Member for a minimum of two years. To apply you will need a copy of  a copy of Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST) or an equivalent qualification acceptable to the General Medical Council, a logbook of aesthetic procedures carried out in the two years and your CV. You will also require a proposer and seconder, who are both full members of BAAPS working in different units.

 

Interspecialty Membership

To apply for BAAPS Interspecialty membership please contact the BAAPS Office for further information at secretariat@baaps.org.uk or by calling 020 7430 1840.

 

Overseas Membership

If you have your Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCT) or an equivalent qualification acceptable to the General Medical Council but are based outside the UK and only practice abroad, you may be eligible to apply for BAAPS Overseas Membership. To apply you will need a copy of  a copy of Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCT) or an equivalent qualification acceptable to the General Medical Council, a logbook of aesthetic procedures carried out in the two years and your CV. You will also require a proposer and seconder, who are both full members of the BAAPS working in different units. You will also be required to provide proof of membership from your national organisation.

 

Retired Membership

If you are a BAAPS Full UK member and no longer practicing, you may be eligible to apply for BAAPS Retired membership. For further information please contact the BAAPS Office at secretariat@baaps.org.uk or by calling 020 7430 1840.

Applications for membership can only be considered at the AGM if they are received in time for Council’s ratification prior to this meeting.

Sponsors

Please provide the details of two referees, who must be Full Members of BAAPS from different units to yourself.

Once you have submitted your application, we will contact them all to ask them to provide a statement on your experience and surgical skills in the field of aesthetic surgery.
