To be a BAAPS Full UK Member you will be required to hold or have held a substantive post within the NHS or have been a BAAPS Provisional Member for a minimum of two years.
To apply you will need a copy of Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCT) or an equivalent qualification acceptable to the General Medical Council, a logbook of aesthetic procedures carried out in the two years and your CV. You will also require a proposer and seconder, who are both full members of BAAPS working in different units.

Any qualified nurse or associated professional (for example an ODP) working alongside a BAAPS Member in the field of aesthetic surgery shall be eligible to become a Nurse and Associate Member.
Candidates for Nurse and Associate Membership shall be nominated in writing to the Council by a letter of support from an existing BAAPS Member.
If unanimously approved for membership by the Council, the Council will admit such candidate as a Nurse and Associate Member forthwith.
Nurse and Associate Members shall be entitled to:
- Receive notice of scientific and clinical meetings of the Association.
- Receive notice of and to attend (but not vote) at general meetings of the Association.
Nurse and Associate Members are not eligible to be co-opted or elected as a Trustee.
Nurse and Associate Members shall pay annual subscriptions in accordance with rates set down by the Council from time to time.

If you have your Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCT) or an equivalent qualification acceptable to the General Medical Council but are based outside the UK and only practice abroad, you may be eligible to apply for BAAPS Overseas Membership.
To apply you will need a copy of a copy of Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCT) or an equivalent qualification acceptable to the General Medical Council, a logbook of aesthetic procedures carried out in the two years and your CV. You will also require a proposer and seconder, who are both full members of the BAAPS working in different units. You will also be required to provide proof of membership from your national organisation.

Trainee Membership is open to any plastic surgery trainee with a National Training Number.
To apply you will need your National Training Number (NTN), name of your current unit, the full name of your current Programme Director and contact email address for your Programme Director.
- A trainee member who registers and attends the whole of the BAAPS Annual Meeting of that year will pay a reduced fee at the meeting.
- A trainee member holding a consultant post will be required to pay the consultant fee when registering for the annual meeting.
- Trainee Members are eligible to apply for a BAAPS Travelling Fellowship worth £1,000.
- Trainee Members will receive selected mailings and e-mailings from the BAAPS and advance notice of BAAPS courses.
- Trainee Members will have access to BAAPS mentors.
- The names of Trainee Members will not be published on the public website but each trainee member will have access to the members’ section of the website.
- BAAPS has developed a special log book for trainees to gather records of cosmetic surgery experience which will help the Trainee Members to be fast-tracked to Full Membership of BAAPS when they become consultants. A minimum level of log book activity will be required.

If you have received your CCT and no longer hold a National Trainee Number (NTN) you may be eligible to apply for BAAPS Provisional Membership.
To apply you will need to have a copy of Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCT), a copy of your CV and a logbook of aesthetic procedures carried out in the last two years. You will also require a proposer, seconder and mentor who are all full members of BAAPS working in different units.
