Aesthetic Mentorship

The BAAPS Mentorship scheme has been created to provide an ongoing long-term training and supportive relationship between young plastic surgeons towards the end of their training and into their early consultant careers and experienced senior colleagues. The hope is to create a mutually beneficial long term relationship.

For the Mentee, they will benefit from tailored teaching and observation in the operating theatre, in clinic and in the running of a private practice. They will also participate in audit and research, with a view to presentations and publications of their work.  It is hoped/envisaged that the relationship that will have started at the beginning of the Mentorship will continue into their early consultant career with holistic support for their practice - clinical, managerial and pastoral.
