The BAAPS Mentorship scheme has been created to provide an ongoing long-term training and supportive relationship between young plastic surgeons towards the end of their training and into their early consultant careers and experienced senior colleagues. The hope is to create a mutually beneficial long term relationship.
For the Mentee, they will benefit from tailored teaching and observation in the operating theatre, in clinic and in the running of a private practice. They will also participate in audit and research, with a view to presentations and publications of their work. It is hoped/envisaged that the relationship that will have started at the beginning of the Mentorship will continue into their early consultant career with holistic support for their practice - clinical, managerial and pastoral.
Please email your C.V with your top 3 host centres to email@example.com by 23:59 on the 28th February 2022.
There will be a shortlisting process and the top 3-4 applicants will be invited to interview for each position.
Interviews will commence immediately after with dates selected by the host centres.
Start dates may be variable but can start anywhere from the 4th April 2022.
*Please note, should your preferred host centres not have availability for a placement, you may be asked to consider an alternative host centre as an option.
