BAAPS Representatives Address International Plastic Surgery Conference

UK experts present on latest advances in facial surgery, transplantation and breast procedures

London, UK - 12 April, 2005- The British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (www.baaps.org.uk), the not-for-profit organisation established for the advancement of education and practice of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery for public benefit, today announced that President Adam Searle, and BAAPS members Peter Butler, Martin Kelly and Magdy Saad have been invited to speak at the Annual Meeting of the Mediterranean Society of Plastic Surgeons, to be held on 15-17 April 2005 at the Hotel Negresco in Nice, France.

The conference will cover themes such as Facial Rejuvenation, Breast Surgery, Fillers and Volume Replacement, and Face Transplantation, where experts can explore recent trends and new technology in the field of plastic surgery. Adam Searle, consultant plastic surgeon and President of the BAAPS will address conference attendees on breast surgery techniques.

According to Adam Searle;

"This joint conference will provide a valuable opportunity for plastic surgery professionals to share knowledge on an international level. I am honored to work with the Mediterranean Society of Plastic Surgeons on this exciting event, focusing on developing a high quality of technique and decision-making in modern plastic surgery."

Honorary BAAPS member Magdy Saad will discuss issues in patient selection, and London surgeon Martin Kelly will demonstrate new concepts in mid-face surgery. Peter Butler will present on innovations in face transplantation.

According to Peter Butler;

"Meetings such as this provide a common platform for leaders in our field to improve relationship, technology and expertise that can benefit our patients worldwide."

Other presentations by international experts include themes such as facial rejuvenation, implants, fillers, and male aesthetic eyelid enhancement. The Mediterranean Society of Plastic Surgeons was established in 1987 to promote aesthetic and plastic surgery in theory and practice, and increase the links between Mediterranean plastic surgeons.
