About me:
I have dedicated my training to achieve a high standard in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery.
I attended QMC (London University) to obtain a First class BSc(Hons)degree in Genetics, then completed my medical degree St Thomas’s and Guys hospitals, London in 1994 followed by a Masters degree at UCL, London. I am a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in plastic surgery, FRCS(Plast), and I am listed on the GMC Specialist Register.
I am also a full member of BAPRAS (British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons)
I am an elected member of the BAAPS Council and on the BAAPS public relations committee and professional standards committee.
Two fellowships fine-tuned my training: a year at Toronto General/Mount Sinai Hospitals, Canada, specialising in Microsurgery, Breast Reconstruction and Head and Neck Surgery. A second fellowship in cosmetic surgery at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London.
I am Head and Clinical Lead in breast reconstruction at St Bartholomew’s and Royal London Hospitals, my specialist area is in procedures such as breast enlargement/reduction, breast symmetrisation, breast lift, lipofilling, tummy-tuck, liposuction, body sculpting and corrective surgery after massive weight-loss. All of these I perform in my private and NHS practice.
I also run a clinic for removal of skin lesions and more information can be found on this website and a discussion with my secretary.
I have a particular interest in women’s surgery and can dedicate an all-women team to your surgical needs.
I have peer-review publications, co-authored book chapters and been invited to lecture at national and international meetings on a variety of topics in aesthetic and plastic surgery. Furthermore, I have raised over £8,000 for charity by taking part in bike races and climbing to the top of Kilimanjaro at 5895 metres. This was a wonderful experience as seen by the photo taken once we reached the top
