Mr Sawyer undergraduate medical training was undertaken at Guys St Thomas Hospital in London, having intercalated with a BSc first class in Physiology. He qualified as a doctor in 1999 and trained as a plastic surgeon undertaking postgraduate training in London, Oxford and Salisbury. Mr Sawyer completed two masters (MSc and LLM), firstly in surgical science at Imperial College London and secondly in Medical Law, from De Montfort Law school in 2007.
He was awarded the FRCS (Plast) in 2014 and became a Fellow of both the Royal College of Surgeons of England and the European board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (FEBOPRAS) in 2015.
He gained extensive experience whilst a paediatric plastic surgery fellow at Evelina Children Hospital, St Thomas Hospital, Great Ormond Street hospital, Dallas, Texas and Oslo, Norway.
Mr Sawyer is a leading aesthetic Consultant Plastic Cosmetic Surgeon based in Hampshire, Wiltshire & Dorset. His academic, surgical and practice achievements include over 50 international peer-reviewed papers and being a regular invited speaker at conferences . Mr Sawyer is a fully accredited specialist in plastic surgery, and is on the Specialist Register in Plastic Surgery with the GMC. His main surgical interests are:
