About me:
Mr Kian Tan is a UK-trained Consultant Plastic Surgeon on the GMC Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery. He completed his plastic surgery higher specialist training in Manchester and the prestigious National Oncoplastic Fellowship at The Royal London Hospital and St Bartholomew’s Hospital, London.
He underwent a Fellowship in Cosmetic & Plastic Surgery in Sydney, Australia where he was awarded the Certificate in Advanced Surgery from Macquarie University, Sydney. Dr Kian was also awarded the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) & British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS) Aesthetic Fellowship to fine-tune his cosmetic surgery skills at Cadogan Clinic, Chelsea, London. He has spent further time in New York and Boston, USA learning from world-leading experts in cosmetic surgery.
Dr Kian completed a Masters degree in Tissue Engineering for Regenerative Medicine at the University of Manchester and has published research in the breadth of plastic surgery including in the areas of wound healing, skin scarring, breast cancer/reconstruction and aesthetic surgery. He has given over 40 presentations, including invited lectures at international and national conferences, and has written book chapters in the field. He has won multiple national awards, including the John Calder Medal and the Patton Masser Memorial Award for his research.
